Job Description

The Planning & Logistics Manager is responsible for coordinating finished goods production planning in close collaboration with Manufacturing and Sales, while ensuring that production is fully supplied with all required resources. The role ensures efficient planning processes, supports operational performance, and drives continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead an effective Planning & Logistics team.
  • Ensure capability development and maintain a strong succession plan.

Operational & Production Planning

  • Plan production volumes in line with business needs and market demand.
  • Ensure timely availability of all required resources: personnel, raw materials, packaging, and auxiliary materials.
  • Guarantee uninterrupted supply to production lines.

Performance & KPIs

  • Ensure achievement of key operational KPIs, including OWC, CSL, OTIF, and other production and supply chain indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best‑in‑class lean methodologies.

Project & Process Management

  • Lead and support plant-level projects related to planning, logistics, and operational efficiency.
  • Optimize planning and logistics processes to increase reliability and reduce waste.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Build effective cooperation with global functions, MSU, MU, CS, Procurement, and other business partners.
  • Ensure transparent communication between Production, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

  • Leadership: Ability to develop and motivate teams; strong decision‑making skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Analytical mindset with the ability to plan based on business needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong understanding of production planning, logistics, and KPIs (OWC, CSL, OTIF).
  • Collaboration: Effective communication and cross‑functional stakeholder management.
  • Project Management: Ability to lead and implement projects on time and within scope.
  • Results Orientation: Ownership, prioritization, and focus on delivering targets.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with planning systems (ERP/MRP) and data-driven tools.
