Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Quality Engineer who will drive food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the factory. This role ensures effective implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GMP, hygiene standards, and JDE corporate requirements. You will work cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Global Quality teams to maintain world‑class product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain HACCP system: risk assessments, HACCP plans, verification & validation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Ukrainian legislation, and corporate standards.
  • Prepare the site for internal, external, certification, and governmental audits.
  • Implement and monitor GMP, hygiene, sanitation, and foreign body prevention programs.
  • Investigate quality incidents, foreign materials, and drive corrective & preventive actions.
  • Manage pest control program with external partners and initiate improvements.
  • Support supplier and service provider evaluations from a food safety perspective.
  • Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, and sanitation programs.
  • Deliver hygiene, GMP, and HACCP training for employees, contractors, and new hires.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through MOS / Lean tools and Quality Pillar routines.
  • Review and approve raw material & packaging specifications, support SAP incidents (BPO role).

What You Bring

  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000.
  • Experience in quality assurance or food safety in manufacturing.
  • Analytical mindset, risk‑based thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Agile mindset and ability to drive improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Food Production Technology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, including corporate risk‑analysis requirements (confirmed through corporate training).
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies, microbiology, and Sanitation Control Programs.
  • Ability to deliver training sessions and support employee capability building.
  • Strong PC skills: preparation of process flow charts, calculations/programs, and presentations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry (quality, food safety, or production roles preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
